43rd International Mountaineering Film Festival in Teplice nad Metují
Four days. One small town surrounded by sandstone towers. And thousands of people who simply cannot stay at home when the end of August approaches. From 27 to 30 August 2026, Teplice nad Metují, Czechia, will once again become the capital of the climbing community as it hosts the festival for the 43rd time – and SINGING ROCK will be there as a long-standing partner.
For those who have yet to experience the festival: the MHFF (IMFF) is a competitive showcase of professional and amateur films from around the world, focusing on mountaineering and outdoor sports. It is complemented by a packed programme of talks, concerts, stalls and climbing activities taking place directly in the park and on the main square. What to expect in the SINGING ROCK zone and at our stand on the main square:
Singing Rock CRACK – our mobile crack-climbing trainer with an adjustable crack width. Once again, it will be joined by the “multi-crack” from ObrWorks. On Friday from 14:00, it will host the CRACK competition – a top-rope speed-climbing contest featuring individual qualification runs followed by exciting head-to-head finals. (Singing Rock crack gloves and harnesses, as well as Saltic climbing shoes, will be available to borrow.) Immediately after the competition, starting at 15:30, our traditional crack-climbing workshop will take place, with highly experienced crack climbers sharing their tips and tricks for efficient crack climbing.
Singing Rock DRY TOOL – our dry-tooling training board. On Saturday from 13:00, it will host the DRY TOOL competition. Whoever completes the most traverses back and forth with ice axes within the time limit wins. (Bandit ice axes fitted with dry-tooling picks will be used. Competitors will be required to wear the provided helmets; gloves are optional.)
This year, the competition winners can look forward to vouchers and prizes worth a total of CZK 12,000. Will you come and test yourself against the others and show us what you’ve got?

Singing Rock OUTLET – our sales stand on the main square, offering climbing gear at fantastic festival prices. Open Thursday to Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 9:00 to 13:00. It’s the perfect opportunity to upgrade or add to your climbing kit at a great price.
