Pavol Rajčan, Zweite Geige WI7/M7

105191On Saturday 15th February 2014 Pavol Rajčan, SINGING ROCK Climbing Team member, and his buddy Wolfgang Hell they repeated a new ice climbing challenge Zweite Geige (WI7/M7, 140 meters, OS).

This new route, which is located in the Vallunga valley in the Dolomites, Italy, was made by Albert Leichtfried and Bendikt Purner this year at the end of January, completely free.

Pavol and Wolfgang added on their score the first repeat of this line and just as the authors they made it completely free. In Pavol’s view the mixed route belongs to the most difficulties in Europe because of poor possibility of belaying and unstable forms of ice. Thus the ascent is difficult especially in psychological respect.

We congratulate both guys and we are pleased that Pavol used LUCIFER crampons and BANDIT ice axes during the ascent.
