Handicamp 2014

SINGING ROCK in cooperation with Teiresias and other partners invites you to the weekend event designed especially (but not only) for climbers and mountaineers with disabilities, HandiCamp VIII. This time we will meet in Jeseníky Mountains at Čertovy kameny near Jeseník town. (Jeseníky Mountains are situated in the northernmost part of. Moravia, Czech Republic, by Poland border.)

HandiCamp 2014

Date: weekend 12th - 14th September 2014, event will take place in any weahter conditions

Location: climbing area Čertovy kameny near Jeseník town. On Friday 12th September 2014 at 7 p.m.
we will meet in the campground in Bělá pod Pradědem (map).

Transportation: arrival individual, for those registered in advance we will try to coordinate it somehow (picking up at train station Jeseník – lift by a car, etc.)

Acommodation: campground in Bělá pod Pradědem, in cabins for 2 - 4 persons or in own tents; sleeping bag necessary

Food: your own; for those interested there will be a possibility of a common dinner on Saturday evening (to be specified); near the camp there are two restaurants

Gear: sport clothing and shoes to any kind of weather (There is no good and bad weather, only good and bad equipment...) If you have your own climbing equipment, please, take it with you otherwise there will be possibility to borrow harnesses, helmets, via ferrata sets, climbing shoes (limited).

Schedule:

Friday: meeting in the campground in Bělá pod Pradědem at 7 p.m., introducing the organizers,
            programme, the climbing area etc.

Saturday: climbing at Čertovy kameny area, UIAGM guide metodology, belaying, rope ascent etc.

Sunday: climbing at Čertovy kameny area, rescue techniques for climbers
