SURVIVAL 2012 - NO LIMITS

SINGING ROCK supports great event, 11th annual Survival - No Limits - OPEN National Championship  in outdoor mixed teams & 2nd year race for wheelchair/bound athletes without a handicap, June 8th – 10th 2012, Poněšice near Hluboká nad Vltavou, České Budějovice, Czech Republic...

The idea behind this race is to integrate paraplegics into a race with pedestrian  racers. The goal is allow each category of racers to measure their abilities against each other, throughout various progressive disciplines, and to demonstrate that a handicap is not always the reason for failure, but rather the absence of will.

It is not about how many racers in wheelchairs complete the race, but those who do, will want to win just as badly as those finish on their own two feet.

A similar race format is unprecedented, worldwide. Each competitor races for him or herself. The emotions for wheelchair bound racers are just as passionate as non-handicapped racers, who return year after year for the same reason – a high rate of ADDICTION to this race. They want to return every year to complete the race AGAIN, and FASTER!

With such a goal in mind, everyone who reaches the finish is a winner!!!

SINGING ROCK is supporting this great race not just giving the prices but also personaly with our Singing Rock staff who helps to organize and prepare the rope activities and climbing part of this race. This race is a perfect example how the handicapped athletes can compete with non-handicapped ones in one race.
