Pavol Rajčan, King Overhang M12

104753At the begining of March 2013 SINGING ROCK athlete Pavol Rajčan and his buddy Pavol Sulák they made a free drytool ascent of the King Overhang, M12, on the west face of Pyšný štít, the Tatras, Slovakia.

This route, which goes across the biggest overhang in the Tatra mountains, was made by Slovak climbers Pavol Jackovič a Miro Mrava years ago (they classified it as VII-, A4). In 2011 Pavol Rajčan got the idea to try a free drytool ascent of the same route in winter. His first two unsuccessful tries in subsequent years indicate that the King Overhang is really big drytool challenge. Finally the third try in March 2013 brought the desired success.

Hats off to them!
