The renewal of belay on Krkavka
SINGING ROCK in cooperation with local climbers, ČHS (Czech Mountaineering Association) and Makak supported the renewal of belay in the Krkavka (Krkavčí skála) climbing area near to Semily. The former drytooling area is now a popular destination for sport climbers, who have 23 routes in difficulty 8a and above. The routes have been completely replaced with quickdraws, upper rapelling stations and in some routes the fixed belay has been drilled. Most of the original material was already in a state of disrepair, so we are pleased that our support has made this area safer.
