CLIMBING GYMS, SCHOOLS AND COACHES

Since the foundation of SINGING ROCK company we have supported many new climbing gyms and their activities. Years ago first climbing gyms were located in the basements, school gyms or Sokol’s houses on account of enthusiasm of the climbers. Nowadays, there are new modern climbing centres which we have also supported.

SINGING ROCK is proud that they could help and support climbing gyms in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. Some of you might have tried to touch your first holds at the gym supported by SINGING ROCK, too. We also cooperate with moutain guides and climbing schools operating throughout Europe.

Czech Republic

Climbing Centre VERTIKON 
Vertikon climbing centre offers sports activities on one of the largest artificial climbing walls in the Czech Republic. The wall is built in the hall 15 by 18 metres large and 16 metres high. The climbing wall area has 900 sq m. A variety of wall profiles currently offer 47 belay lines. 70 routes have been built so far with difficulty range 3 – 8B (Fr.). There is a column located in the centre of the hall connected to the side wall through a roof overhang which is a challenge for even the fittest climbers. There is an inclined area for children and beginners on the back side of the column. Both lead climbing and top roping (i.e. climbing with an anchor at the top) is possible on the wall.

Among the conveniences located at the place is climbing equipment hire service offering both hall climbing and outdoor gear and also a café-bar where a climbing and outdoor equipment shop will be opened soon. Parents will appreciate the children’s corner located directly in the hall behind the climbing wall.

Climbing gym DURO (Brno)
The climbing wall Duro Singing Rock is with its 2100 m² and up to 23.5 m high the highest indoor climbing wall in the Czech Republic. On vertical, slab but also overhanging profiles with 45 climbing lines (line width 1.5 meters) you will find about 150 routes in difficulty from 3 to 8b + Fr. There is also a roof profile and boulder.

Climbing gym Kladno
The wall with its height of up to 18 meters is one of the highest walls in the Czech Republic. There are prepared routes in difficulty from 3 to 9-UIAA, which are regularly changed. Gym also offers bouldering and training campus, of course there is a snack bar.

Climbing gym Hlubina (Ostrava)
The wall is located in the area of the former Hlubina Mine. When you go to the wall to climb, you walk through the corridor with an exhibition of photos and mainly around the old monumental mining machine. The whole hall then stands under the mining tower. In the wall space, history combines with modern use of the industrial hall and a stylish bar. The wall height is over 20 meters with an area of almost 1000 m².

Climbing gym Holešovice (Prague)
Climbing center Holešovice is one of the largest climbing centers in the Czech Republic. It is spread over 5 halls, which offer a total area of 2600 m² with a maximum height of 12 m. Climbers have the usual service from changing rooms, showers, a snack bar, equipment rentals, climbing courses for beginners and advanced climbers.

Climbing gym Hradec Králové
The place offers a likeable area of 600 sq m for rope climbing. Moreover, a boulder is located upstairs of which climbing surface of over 200 sq m completes the ideal climbing experience. With regard to the total area of 800 sq m, any climber from a total beginner to a seasoned climber will certainly find their own path matching their abilities.

Climbing gym Karlovy Vary
The place offers a climbing area of about 550 sq m. Vertical, overhanging, and roof profiles are provided. The highest point of the wall is 11 metres. 30 climbing lines comprising up to 100 routes of all difficulty levels are located on an area of 8 by 11 metres. Both advanced climbers and complete beginners including children will find their place here. The smallest can try their skills on the children’s turret fitted with small holds. 

You will not find any other climbing wall with comparable parameters anywhere throughout the Karlovy Vary region. The facilities include dressing rooms with showers and a bar with Wi-Fi connection located on the ground floor where you can recharge and refresh yourself after your sports performance. The place is completely non-smoking. Beginners and forgetful sportsmen may use our climbing equipment hire service (rope, harness, climbing shoes). Climbing gear can also be bought from us.

Climbing courses taught by our trained instructors may be arranged for beginners and other interested parties. The wall may be rented to companies for purposes of team building and other corporate events. We also welcome schools. Especially during the morning time, an interesting programme under the supervision of our instructors may be prepared for children. Discounted price is possible. Climbing gym Rock 'n' Wall
This is a climbing wall with a pub for laid-back climbers and outdoor enthusiasts located in the very centre of Pilsen. The climbing wall meets the expectations of all aficionados – from hardcore racing climbers to occasional visitors looking for a hobby to mothers with children in need of tiring them out.

Our boulder wall is about 4 metres high. It features a number of climbing profiles and holds a safety mattress. If you want to set out for the unknown and begin to pursue climbing, you can sign up for our course where you will find out what to do (and, what is important, how to do it safely). Our teachers are instructors of climbing on an artificial wall accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports.

Climbing gym Wall Club (Sezimovo Ústí)
The gym is ready for you and captured over 600 m² of space. About half of the boulder wall occupies, the second part is ready for climbing with a rope. The boulder is built around 100-marked routes in various degrees of difficulty. The wall with profiles of various difficulty has a height of 7.5 meters. In the vertical, the beginner stretches and for trained we have prepared overhang with 15-meter routes, at an overhang of 8 meters and a height of 9 meters.

A climbing wall located in the public gym “Tyršův dům” for climbing clubs, training, and public.
A children’s climbing club supervised by experienced instructors takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Ice wall VÍR
SINGING ROCK has been a long-term partner and technical supporter of the Ice Wall in Vír. This unique wall is highly dependent on weather conditions, so it comes as no surprise that the length of the season may vary from one to two or three months every year.

The season 2011/2012 was therefore one of the shortest so far (usually it had lasted from two to three months). Despite the short period available, we managed to organise and accomplish several very interesting events: There was testing of material made by Grivel, Raveltik, Singing Rock and Tendonl. We also saw the 4th Adrex Ice Run race. In total, over 400 climbers from all over the country tried the wall. I believe this is a decent amount of work with regard to the short period of four weekends and a few weekdays. :-) Moreover, we were forced this year to work under somewhat difficult conditions without the necessary technical background, and, in a way, even without a roof above our heads. This is quite hard when there is 25 °C below zero outside.

Climging Climging gym Vír
In addition to the ice wall in Vír, the local climbing club also managed to build an climbing wall in the building of the cultural hall of the municipal office. This wall is used mainly for the training of the members of the mountaineering section, but if you are in Vír and want to climb, just contact the administrator about opening hours.

Via ferrata Vír
Since 2015, Vír offers another vertical activity, which is two via ferrata of difficulty B - C. On these secured routes, all members of the family will enjoy climbing. You can also follow up-to-date information from ferrata in Vír on our facebook page.

Climbing Arena Liberec
The climbing arena has been built since October 2013 in the former Quarry Na Bídě. The project aims to bring mountaineering in all its forms, love for mountains, rocks and nature to the general public. Arena offers free climbing, ice climbing in winter, bouldering, 18m high drytooling wooden wall, routes for technical climbing, playful modern via ferrata, petanque, bariball, relaxation and relaxation zone, instructors or equipment rental. Total height of the rocks 28 m, length of climbing routes 20-25 m.

Ice Wall Mountain Base (Rokytnice n. Jizerou)
During the winter season, you will find an 8 m high ice tower at the entrance to the Horní Domky Ski Resort in Rokytnice nad Jizerou, where you can try out ice climbing and test your skills. Part of the ice wall is also Mountain Base equipment rental where you can get everything you need from shoes, harness, rope, helmet, crampons and ice axes. For beginners, the possibility of climbing is supervised by an instructor who will advise you and keep an eye on your safety.

Slovakia

K2 Climbing Wall Bratislava
K2 Climbing Wall Bratislava with 1500 m²  + 200 m² (bouldering) and a height of 15.5 meters has become the largest and highest climbing wall in Slovakia. K2 offers 8m of overhanging profile for advanced climbers and also relaxing and easy profiles for the beginners. There is also the laminate imitation of natural rock profile, profile created by blocks and corrugated profile. For bouldering there are great profiles marked with colored boulders.

In the gym there is also available the profile of the 15 m for speed climbing, according to the parameters IFSC.

Bouldering gym (Prešov)
Bouldering gym is the first and only of its kind in Prešov. It combines climbing with a rope (90 m²) and a bouldering climbing wall (250 m²). On the wall are a number of routes of various difficulty, built to really climb everyone, from beginners to professional climbers. Campus board, system board, hanging boards, TRX, and other fitness equipment are also available.

Climbing gym K2 Žilina
The profile of the climbing wall allows climbing for everyone. You will find clearly marked short routes for children, easy routes in vertical and on slab profiles for beginners to challenging routes in overhangs for advanced climbers. Climbing routes are regularly changed in more than 80 climbing lines and offer a great variety of climbing. In good weather, outdoor climbing is available, with a 17-meter profile with a slightly overhanging profile. Excellent for endurance! On the wall we have a number of self-belaying devices.

Climbing gym WoodRock
The highest climbing wall in Slovakia. Officially measured and confirmed altitude at the highest point of 31,115m (measured from outside). ± 0.000 - the floor level is approximately at an altitude of 680 m above sea level. and the highest point is about 711 m above sea level. m. With a height of 31m is the highest indoor climbing wall in Central Europe.
